I bow to greatness…

LOS ANGELES
Jack Palance, the craggy-faced menace in “Shane,” “Sudden Fear” and other films who turned to comedy at 70 with his Oscar-winning role in “City Slickers,” died today, 10 November 2006.
Palance died of natural causes at his home in Montecito, California, surrounded by family. He was 87.

Sad news - he was truly an original. Go in peace.
He did a lot of good work. Sad to see him go.

The year he did the one-armed push-ups was a highlight of the Academy Awards. Do you think they’ll play that clip during the In Memorium segment next year?

Amazing body of work, I especially remember him in SHANE, he didn’t really have a lot of lines or time on screen, but he left a bigger impression than almost anyone else.
And the pushups rocked, too!
Heartsick. Don’t care how old he was and whether the causes were natural. Still makes me heart heart.
